Earl Bassett's celebrity after defeating the Graboid attack against the town of Perfection has proved short-lived, until he's recruited by a Mexican oil company whose workers have found more than they bargained for under the soil.
The dread here lives beneath your feet, then learns to hunt above them. Aftershocks trades desert-town claustrophobia for a wider hunting ground, punctuating its creature tension with grins that never quite dissolve the unease. It's more playful than terrifying, but the ground still can't be trusted, and the rules keep changing on you.
