Police sergeant Neil Howie is called to an island village in search of a missing girl whom the locals claim never existed. The investigation is further complicated as Howie’s religious views clash with those of the island’s residents.
A rare horror that terrifies in broad daylight. The dread here is patient and sun-warmed, built from cheerful songs, evasive smiles, and a community whose kindness never quite adds up. It works on your certainty rather than your reflexes, tightening slowly until the pleasant surface becomes unbearable and you sense something is deeply, quietly wrong.
