A Catholic school newcomer falls in with a clique of teen witches who wield their powers against all who dare to cross them -- be they teachers, rivals or meddlesome parents.
The dread here is intimate and adolescent, the slow horror of watching newfound power curdle into something you can't switch off. It works your nerves through escalation rather than shock, trading in ritual, ostracism, and the queasy sense that friendship itself has teeth. What unsettles is how recognizable the corruption feels.
