More sleek supernatural thriller than sustained horror, The Covenant trades on style over sustained dread. Its scares lean on jolt effects, storm-lit atmosphere, and the creeping menace of power that corrodes from within. The tension simmers around suspicion and rivalry, but the fear stays surface-level—atmospheric unease rather than anything that settles into your bones.
