In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, Harper retreats alone to the beautiful English countryside, hoping to find a place to heal. But someone — or something — from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her, and what begins as simmering dread becomes a fully-formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears.
Garland turns pastoral calm into slow suffocation. Men builds its terror through repetition and wrongness — a green idyll that curdles into something oppressive, then physically unbearable. The dread accumulates quietly until it detonates in imagery your body rejects before your mind can process it. This is fear as claustrophobia, guilt, and inescapable pattern.
