An LA vampire hunter has a week to come up with the cash to pay for his kid's tuition and braces. Trying to make a living these days just might kill him.
This one favors adrenaline over anxiety. Vampire kills arrive with contortionist ferocity and geysers of blood, but the pulse it raises is closer to a chase than a haunting. Dread never settles in; the fear is kinetic, momentary, worn lightly beneath the jokes. Squeamish viewers will flinch, though the nerves never truly fray.
