In 1905, a man travels to a remote island in search of his missing sister who has been kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult.
A slow tightening of the throat that gives way to something far messier. Apostle keeps you in a state of cold, damp dread on its island of zealots, then punishes patience with sudden, visceral brutality. The horror is spiritual and physical at once: faith rotting, flesh yielding, and a wrongness that hums beneath the soil.
